Between Storms follows a bird in flight through a sky of shifting clouds and light. Its extended wings cut across the composition, bringing a clear sense of direction to the unsettled atmosphere.

Violet, blue, and warm passages of light give the sky depth and movement. The title suggests a brief interval between storms, leaving open whether the bird is moving away from rough weather or toward another change. The painting finds resilience in the act of continuing through uncertainty.
