KEPT YOU TO MYSELF

Oil on Canvas, 2026
18 × 24 in (
46 × 61 cm)

Kept You to Myself explores the wish to hold something close without fully revealing it. With her eyes closed, the figure turns inward, her face emerging from pale blue, cream, and soft pink brushwork.

Around her, forms loosen and edges dissolve. The surrounding paint both reveals and shelters her, suggesting the way a memory can remain vivid even as its details begin to fade.

The title leaves the identity of “you” open: a person, a feeling, or a private part of the self. The work holds this ambiguity gently, considering the tenderness of what we choose to keep within.
