Thirst begins with an ordinary gesture: a woman drinking water in a quiet interior. The title opens this everyday moment to a need that extends beyond the physical.

Seated beside a window, she pauses amid the light and familiar surroundings. Drinking becomes a moment of replenishment, while her inward attention leaves room for a sense of longing.

The painting considers the quiet forms desire can take, leaving open what the figure seeks and whether this small act brings her closer to it.
