Before the Wings Unfold captures a quiet moment before change takes visible form. Seated beside a window, the figure rests within the folds of her robe, her gaze directed toward the light beyond the room.

Soft blues, pale pinks, and warm creams bring the figure and her surroundings into a shared atmosphere. Familiar objects anchor the scene in everyday life, while loose brushwork and softened edges leave her thoughts open to interpretation.

The title suggests a transformation still held within. The painting considers the private pauses in which we gather ourselves, allowing a new possibility to take shape before we are ready to move toward it.
