A Little Heat Tonight finds warmth and energy in the familiar ritual of preparing a meal. Seen from above, a woman reaches toward the pan, absorbed in the simple pleasure of making something.

Cool grays and soft whites meet strokes of orange and red, carrying the heat of the kitchen through the composition. The overhead view draws attention to the curve of her shoulder, the movement of her arm, and the arrangement of everyday objects around her.

The title brings a playful note to this intimate scene. It leaves the evening open to possibility, finding anticipation in an ordinary moment before the meal is ready.
